MLLA - 13

I had mailed Susan (The Well-Seasoned Cook) way back in October for an opportunity to host HER "My legume love affair", simply because I love my legumes and because I like her logos too! It is with pleasure that I am inviting you all to participate and make this affair a varied and tasty one. Show me your leguminous platter all July!

Make sure that you follow the rules in order to be eligible for the lovely giveaways! Yes, the plural was deliberate! Starting this month with MLLA-13, Susan will be offering a prize to one lucky entrant from her side and a second brand new prize sponsored by Hurst Beans company.

Susan's choice for the month is "The Williams-Sonoma Collection:Cookies" by Marie Simmons. This prize is subsidized by Susan and will be shipped to any location.

Hurst Beans is providing a supplemental gift hamper of a 6-pack of dried beans. All the more reason to love your legumes:). For the Hurst prize, the winner has her/his choice of plain, unseasoned, assorted beans or assorted beans with mock-meat seasoning packets. Hurst do not use meat products in any of their lines - vegans rejoice! This prize is open only to US residents.

For this event legumes mean beans(not the vegetable), lentils, pulses, and/or the sometimes edible pods that contain these seeds, and derivative products like tofu that are made from soy.

The Rules for MLLA13:

Links to my announcement as well as Susan's are compulsory. Entries not linked to either announcement will not be included in the round up.

Recipes must be vegetarian (NO EGGS). (This rule is valid only for July as I am vegetarian)

Multiple recipes are permitted (although only one submission will be counted towards the random drawing). Recipes submitted to other events are also permitted.

Recipes from archives can be accepted ONLY if updated and re-posted in July 2009.

Recipes from non-bloggers are welcome and are eligible for the random drawing. Please attach photographs if possible.

Please send your entries to sunshinemomsblog@gmail.com with the following information:
Preferred name
Location (Optional)
Name of the Dish
Photo is preferred, but not essential. Please re-size the dimensions of your pictures to 300px in width and send it as an attachment.

The use of the logo is optional but I will be happy to see it in your post! You could also use the smaller version of the logo provided on my side bar.

So is 13 going to be your lucky number? You won't know till you send in your entry:).

I found that a few people have difficulties in finding the urls of the post. Hope this clears up everything:

Link or url to this post:

Link to Susan's post: http://thewellseasonedcook.blogspot.com/2008/09/my-legume-love-affair-host-lineup.html

If you would like to use words instead of the path copy and paste the sentence below making necessary changes:

"This is my entry to MLLA-13 conceived by Susan of the "Well-Seasoned Cook" and currently being hosted by Sunshinemom of "Tongue Ticklers......"."
